    Dear Aero Darat,

I was one of the passengers taking MAS flight from Alor Setar Kedah to Kuala Lumpur on 2 July 2023 (Sunday).. My flight was originally scheduled to depart at 235pm that day.

However, I was only informed of the flight delay at 1224pm when I was already on my way to the airport. The flight was rescheduled to 445pm and I was very panic as I had a connecting flight from KL to Singapore at 605pm.

As a result of the delay in flight from AS to KL, I couldn’t make it to the flight from KL to SG. And I was informed by your ground staffs that all the remaining flights from KL to SG were full and I had to wait until the flight on the next morning.

I went to Aero Darat’s office and asked for help as I needed to get to Singapore for work that day. One of your staffs, Encik Zuraidi bin Saad attended to me. I told him about my problems and asked him if there’s any other way to get me in the plane. We chatted for about 10mins.

Encik Zuraidi explained patiently to me the situation and I walked away disappointed at the disruptions and chaotic situation caused by Malaysia Airline.

After that, still I decided to fly to KL by taking the flight at 445pm.

While waiting at the boarding room, Encik Zuraidi found me sitting behind a big pillar. He came to me and asked me if I have found other alternatives to which I said no. He then told me that he might be able to get me on the plane from KL to SG as the flight was delayed as well. He then took my passport and printed me a boarding pass. He managed to put me on the plane and I was able to go to Singapore that day.

I was so grateful for Encik Zuraidi’s help although he is not a MAS staff. I would like to put on record my sincerest gratitude to him for his action. He was like a beam of sunlight to me by putting me on the plane while I was so let down by MAS.

    Ribuan terima kasih Encik Zuraidi!
