The commencement of this route marks a remarkable moment as the first direct connection between the two cities since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On 28th September 2023, Flight MF8705 embarked on its maiden journey, departing from Xiamen (XMN), and gracefully landed at Penang International Airport (PEN), well ahead of its scheduled arrival time.
This inaugural flight, operated by the Boeing 737-800, symbolizes a significant step towards revitalizing international travel. The service operates three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with passengers arriving at Penang International Airport at approximately 6:30 PM and departing at 7:30 PM.
