Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera.
The festival of lights is once again illuminating the country. The day that symbolizes and celebrates the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness seems to reverberate perfectly as Malaysia has uplifted the travel restrictions and reopened most of economics sectors, as it enters the endemic phase, akin to seeing the light at the end of tunnel.
Though the country is not out of the woods yet, just like the rest of the world, the positive development offers a beacon of hope to recover from the pandemic. This is especially true as we have witnessed first-hand throngs of travellers taking the flights to fulfil their wanderlust to various destinations. This is proven with Malaysia Airlines recording a 500% increase in domestic flight bookings while holidays packages sold by MHholidays exceeded the target by more than 100%!
In the spirit of Deepavali, it is therefore the time for us to shine brightly and gear up doing what we do best which is serving our guests with the warmth of Malaysian Hospitality. On the same note, to ensure a safe journey for our guests and healthy work environment for our fellow colleagues, it is pertinent to always observe and adhere to the SOPs.
To our Hindu colleagues and those celebrating, wishing you Deepavali Valthukkal! May you have a luminous and joyful festive time with your loved ones.
